Admin & Finance Assistant

Our client is a well-established family-owned business, based in the Hawkesbury region.  They are the industry leaders in their field and are committed to continual improvement and environmentally sustainable practices.

The position is responsible for conducting accurate and timely day-to-day accounts functions.  The role also requires attendance to all reception and front office administrative duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all supplier invoices are correct and approved prior to processing
  • Process weekly pay runs
  • Create bank payments for approval
  • Create foreign exchange payments
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Set up new employees in the payroll system
  • Process weekly pay using Micropay
  • Address and resolve any payroll-related enquiries from employees
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Conduct credit card reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly BAS returns
  • Managing the office email inbox
  • Greet visitors and contractors, ensuring they have signed in correctly and wearing appropriate PPE
  • Provide support to the office and operations staff
We are looking for somebody with the following experience and personal attributes:
  • Certification in Business Administration, Bookkeeping, or a similar field
  • Experience with Xero software
  • Experience in Accounts Payable
  • Office Administration experience
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Be able to work unsupervised
  • Manage multiple tasks
  • Identifies and implements effective solutions
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal skills
