The Client: Our client is a rapidly growing organisation that provides high-quality engineering services to a wide range of industries, including mining, quarrying, manufacturing, utilities, and infrastructure across Australia. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking a skilled Boilermaker/Fabricator to join their team at their Emu Plains location. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that delivers cutting-edge solutions across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform both workshop and onsite steel fabrication and welding.
- Read, interpret, and work from detailed shop drawings and specifications.
- Work autonomously and with minimal supervision on fabrication and installation projects.
- Collaborate with the team to complete projects on time and to high-quality standards.
- Follow site-specific safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Deliver precise and high-quality welding and fabrication to meet project deadlines.
- Engage in shutdown maintenance and perform regular preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance on a range of fixed plant equipment, ensuring efficient operation and safety.
Essential Requirements: - 1st Class Boilermaker/Fabricator qualifications
- Proven experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong background in the fabrication industry, with experience delivering metal solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
- Valid Fabrication & Welding Trade Certificate.
- White Card (for construction site access).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Forklift, EWP (Elevated Work Platform), Dogging, and Basic Rigging tickets are highly regarded.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Strong sense of teamwork and a collaborative approach to projects.
