The role: - Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or follow verbal instructions to meet quality and quantity standards
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, and colour coding parts and assemblies by following Quality Control procedures
- Determine wire routing and assembly sequence on racks, vans, consoles, and pylons, which are similar in construction and design to previously fabricated units
- Fabricate and assemble all types of electrical, electronic and electromechanical equipment
- Complete assemblies where firm drawings and detailed assembly instructions have reached their final mechanical and electrical-electronic form
- Determine location and fitting of panels, boxes, and perform repetitive and routine duties
- Perform rework, make changes and modifications,
Essential requirements:
- Strong mechanical skills, knowledge of most hand tools, crimp tools and torque tools and ability to use power screwdrivers, torque driver and other assembly tools
- Experience with coaxial, ribbon, and discrete wire and cables
- Ability to read work orders, assembly instructions, assembly drawings and bill of materials
- Must be able to comfortably lift and work with material
- Must have Forklift (LF) licence
