The Role:Immediate vacancy for Day and Afternoon Machine operator/ Fibre Laser Cutter on one of our client's new fibre laser cutters is now available
. You will be working with the other machine operators in a strong and supportive team.
Our Client is a diversified supply chain manufacturer of complex sheet metal componentry, providing innovative solutions to general and specialised engineering.
Key Responsibilities: - Operate laser-cutting machines
- Undertake QA checks
- De-tag and deburr finished product as required
- Label and store finished products and pack as required
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, and store materials
- Perform manual loading and unloading of suitable materials
- Follow WHS guidelines and company policies and standards
Skills, Experience and Attributes: - CNC Press Brake experience
- Prior Machine Operator/ Fibre Laser Cutter
- Valid and Current Forklift license
- Experience in operating lasers (Delem or 3KW )control experience preferred
- Good level of communication and computer skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings
- Previous experience operating laser-cutting equipment
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Cleaning of work area and tools
- Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Operations Manager
- Materials handling
- An industry background in engineering, fabrication, or laser/plasma cutting would give you a good grounding to be successful in this job
- Workshop hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday.
- Afternoon shift is 3.30 pm to 11.30 pm
- Overtime is available when required.
