Your new role and a typical day working here: - Safely operate Side load forklifts to load and unload timber and materials.
- Put aways using side loader
- Stock Rotation
- Ensure proper stacking and organization of wood products
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on the forklift
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and tracking
- Cutting of timber using power and hand help tools, packing and wrapping of products
- Work closely with other team members for efficient operations
- Support loading and unloading of wood products in the yard
- Keep the yard clean and organised
- Perform routine prestart checks on tools and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain the side loader forklift in good condition
What you will need to thrive in this role: - A current forklift license with previous experience with a side load forklift
- A full drivers license and own transport is preferred
- You are reliable, punctual with good communication skills
- You have a great attitude, good work ethic & like working in a varied role with a small team
- You are pretty handy when it comes to hand and power tools
- You don't mind hard physical work, heavy lifting
- You are adaptable and willing to learn new skills as needed
- Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to following protocols
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, contributing positively to team dynamics
- Willingness to take initiative and suggest improvements to processes
- Experience in a similar role or industry would be advantageous
What you need to know? - This is a stable long term casual role with a stable company
- Temporary to Permanency opportunity
- Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
- Optional Overtime
- Pay rate is $35p/h + super
