We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Trades Assistant to work for a reputable Home Improvement Company that values their employees. Our Client is one of Sydney’s largest home improvement product distributors with new and innovative products specially developed for the home improvement market. They pride themselves on service, friendliness and their collaborative team,
The role requires access to client & building sites, so a white card is essential, as well as a clean police check. Our client is a safe, respectful workplace, and compliance with these principles is essential.
Duties include: - Accurately cutting and measuring materials
- Safe Use of power tools
- Forklift driving
- Cycle counts
- Stocktakes
- Ensuring the workplace is kept clean and well-maintained
- Ensuring the Utes and Trucks are kept clean and well-maintained
- Ensure all the MHE is kept clean and well-maintained
- Communicating and dealing with Customers both internal and external
- Report any issues to your immediate Supervisor
What you need to be successful:
- Forklift License essential
- NSW White card or willingness to obtain before commencing
- Current manual driver's license
- Sound communication skills.
- Experience with power tools as a Trades Assistant
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good level of time management
- Ability to engage and work with others
- Keen attitude
- Forklift Licence
- Willingness to obtain LR license
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Eye for detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to follow instructions and safe work processes
