The Client:
Founded over 20+ years ago, our Client is a well-established industry leader elevating the market with compliant, safe, easy and fast precast solutions that are designed to last generations.
Due to their continued growth and expansion, they are now in need of a hands-on Yard Manager to assist in the daily operation of the business.
The Role: - Oversee the daily operation of the facility ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all its resources
- Ordering the required products for daily production promptly
- Coordination of the movement, storage, and logistics of goods - transportation, warehousing, construction
- Liaise with other relevant departments to ensure a smooth operation, including reprioritising production schedules as needed
- Conduct daily toolbox talks
- Daily cycle and stock counts
- Stock control
- Packing Customer orders for pick up by various transport methods
- Operating pneumatic and hand tools
- Supervision of a small team
- Load and Unload deliveries
- Managing production schedule
- Work to set hours, open and close to agreed hours
- Asset management, (moulds, tools and equipment)
Essential criteria:
- Current forklift licence (LF) with previous experience
- Current unrestricted driver's license
- Sound knowledge of WHS in the workplace
- Excellent computer skills
- Previous experience leading a small team, strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
- Clear and concise communicator
- A great attitude to your work - flexibility and adaptability are a must
- You must be an Australian Citizen or have full working rights to work in Australia
